Fr. Steve Mateja

Fr. Steve Mateja is a priest of the Archdiocese of Detroit; ordained May 26, 2012. He is currently serving in a role as Campus Ministry Chaplain across the Archdiocese of Detroit, including: Oakland University (St. John Fisher Parish), Wayne State University (Our Lady of the Rosary), University of Michigan Dearborn and other campuses. Previously, he has served at St. Joseph, Lake Orion; St. Mary Mystical Rose, Armada; St. Augustine, Richmond; Holy Family, Memphis; St. Francis/St. Maximilian, Ray Twp; St. Frances Cabrini, Allen Park; Divine Grace, Carleton; St. Lawrence, Utica; Our Lady of Good Counsel, Plymouth; and the Community of Jesus Crucified Monastery, St. Martinville, LA.

He loves Michigan and Lions Football; as well as the Detroit Tigers. He has only 5 stadiums left on his bucket list before he has visited all 32 MLB stadiums.
